Description: Aspen Medical is seeking a number of Registered Nurses for the provision of nursing and related services to Defence Force Personnel within a low dependency care environment. The positions are based at the Puckapunyal Health Centre within the Puckapunyal Military Training Area near Seymour in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities.
 Delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to patients or clients within the practice setting.
 Coordinates services, including those of other disciplines or agencies to individual patients or clients within the practice setting.
 Provides education, counselling and group work services orientated towards the promotion of health status improvement of patients and clients within the health care setting.
 Provides support, direction and education to colleagues as required.
 Reports and communicates to the manager as required.
 Accepts accountability for own standards of nursing care and service delivery, and practices in accordance with the National Competency, Professional Behaviours and Ethics standards.
 Participates in action research, policy development and contributes to Quality Management system within the practice setting.
 Complies by OH&S, Manual Handling and Infection Control standards and completes required related competencies.
 Accurately and clearly maintain medical records, databases and other administrative requirements.
 Work in an efficient manner, prioritising care and workloads in an appropriate manner.
 Delivers training and education within scope, as required.
 Contributes to research and maintenance of a Quality Management System.
 Contributes to a learning culture within the organisation, mentors and assists other team members where required and appropriate.
 Demonstrate a professional and responsible approach to service within Aspen Medical, its Patients and Clients.
 Observe Patient confidentiality and privacy laws, regulations and policies.
Experience, qualifications and documentation required: Essential requirements:
 Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
 Minimum of 2 years full time equivalent Nursing experience.

 Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

 Be able to work under limited supervision and take direction when required.
 Proficient computer skills.
 Certificate or training and experience in other areas of expertise such as, acute care/ emergency, training & assessment mental health and/or drug and alcohol.
 Currency in Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or equivalent.
 Current Basic Life Support competency.
 A sound or developing knowledge of Defence Health Processes and requirements.
