National Ambulance Company, an Aspen Medical/UAE Government Company, Commences Operations
The National Ambulance Company (NAC) based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has commenced official operations to supply private paramedical health services across the country.
Aspen Medical became the first Australian company to form a jointly owned corporation with the UAE Government, through the Abu Dhabi Police.
NAC’s first contract is with a key government department to provide emergency pre-hospital care to its personnel on bases across the UAE. Under the contract NAC staff will train selected staff in Basic Life Saving skills on a regular basis.
NAC draws its experienced staff from across the globe to bring excellence in pre-hospital care to its customers in the UAE. The NAC is able to deliver this service through its in-house medical planning and logistics team.
Mohammed Abdulla Al Neaimi, Chairman of the National Ambulance Company said “This is a great moment for our Company, our client has recognized our unique capability and we are looking forwarded to a long lasting relationship with them.”
The Abu Dhabi Police selected Aspen Medical after an international search of companies that could support the UAE Government in the establishment and management of a private ambulance service. Aspen Medical’s reputation for innovation, high quality operations, clinical standards and experience in remote areas saw the company chosen over companies from Europe and the USA.
Aspen Medical Managing Director and NAC Board Director, Glenn Keys says this is a ground-breaking partnership utilising a range of innovative methods to grow healthcare capability across the country.
“The services the NAC is providing are critical to the safe conduct of a range of activities across the UAE and everyone at Aspen Medical is proud to be part of this enterprise.”
