Aspen Medical has completed its dental waiting list project for the Northern Territory (NT) Government, clearing approximately 1300 patients from the dental waiting list over the last 6 months.
 

Aspen Medical was contracted by the NT Government to dramatically reduce the dental waiting lists in Darwin and Palmerston, utilising Aspen’s worldwide experience in waiting list reduction programs.

Aspen Medical has conducted waiting list programs around the world, including dental waiting list projects in NSW and Victoria, as well as surgical waiting list programs in Northern Ireland and the UK.   Aspen also has a strong presence in the Northern Territory, having provided obstetric support into Gove, and supporting over 450 health professional placements into Indigenous communities across the NT through the Remote Area Health Corps. Aspen Medical has also provided aero medical evacuation services to the Australian Defence Force across northern Australia for the last few years.

“The Dental Wait List Blitz has been a very successful initiative, and by the time it finishes, the waiting period will be reduced even further,” NT Health Minister Kon Vatskalis said. “This is a fantastic outcome for Territorians, and such a vast reduction in waiting times demonstrates the hard work the dental teams involved have put into the Blitz.  The target of providing services to 1350 clients will have been achieved when the Blitz finishes.” said the Minister.
