Aspen Medical secures additional Quality Certification
Aspen Medical today secured the well respected ISO 9001 Quality certification for its operations in the Solomon Islands from BSI Global, an internationally regarded Quality Auditor.
ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used by around 897,000 organizations in 170 countries worldwide, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general.
Aspen Medical’s Managing Director Glenn Keys said "We’ve had ISO certification at our head office and other Australian locations for some time, however this is our first overseas location to reach this standard. I’m particularly pleased with the way in which our staff in the Solomons have embraced the process. Their dedication and commitment have ensured the success of the Quality Accreditation process."
Aspen Medical has been committed to using the ISO Quality System since it first gained certification for the Puckapunyal Area Health Service in December 2006. In February 2007 Aspen Medical's head office also secured Quality certification. As the company has grown the quality system has demonstrated its utility on a number of occasions, strengthening Aspen Medical's operations be they overseas or in remote indigenous communities.
Mr. Keys concluded by saying "We have seen an increase in the demand by clients for organisations to demonstrate they have an ISO certification. We believe that Quality Accreditation demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to continuous improvement and adopting and using processes and procedure that in the end, provide additional assurance of our high standards of customer service."
